I’ve launched a podcast! Available on Apple & Spotify
More precisely, I’m using podcast platforms to host audio versions of my essays on my substack and peterbromka.com.
As a lover of audio essays and audiobooks, it was an obvious step to take, but it’s easier said than done. These take time for me to read, edit, and refine before posting. Although AI text-to-voice software is improving rapidly, I plan to give as much care to creating the audio version of my essays as I did to the written versions.
I’m excited about this for a few reasons:
Many people who don’t take the time to read do listen to audio formats. I hope that this helps them.
Many people don’t dig back into my catalog of pieces. I hope this helps people explore.
Essays are edited. I hope to use the audio space to provide more context, backstory, and epilogue explanations of how these essays sit with years of hindsight.
I recorded an introductory episode to welcome listeners.
And read my most recent piece, titled Clipped Wings, about my injury journey.
And just for fun, I dove back in and recorded Fear vs Fatigue, which means a lot. It’s about my two-decade chase for a 5k PR.
I don’t know what cadence I will be able to work through my anthology from the past decade, but if you’d like me to prioritize a piece, please let me know!
Fine, I’ll say it: Please Like, Subscribe, and Review — it helps others discover the work.
Thank you for listening!
